CPAC serves to protect canine professions from legislation that would adversely affect them, as well as to encourage legislation in their best interest.

CPAC is a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization. Our sole mission is to monitor government activity relating to dog trainers and dog groomers in order to influence any legislation as early in the legislative process as possible, defeat harmful legislation, and encourage legislation beneficial to those professions.

Our Mission:
The Canine Political Action Corps (CPAC) is dedicated to the representation of dog trainers and dog groomers in the legislative arena at local, state and national levels in the continental United States. CPAC serves to protect those canine professions from legislation that would adversely affect them, as well as to encourage legislation in their best interest.

Everyone has, for many years, expected the time would come when government would try to license dog trainers and groomers. That time has come! In recent years, legislation has been introduced in a number of states for that very purpose. Fortunately, thus far, none of it has been passed in to law…but, we can’t count on luck alone to protect our livelihoods.

CPAC is the only organization dedicated to keeping vigil for pending legislation and interacting on behalf of canine professionals. We will work to represent your interests when government introduces legislation that could interfere with the ability to conduct business, remain profitable and compete in the marketplace. We have the focus, expertise and determination to represent the dog training and dog grooming professions effectively and efficiently at the various levels of government. We understand that state and local governments will be busy with licensing and other legislation directly affecting our lines of work for many years to come. It’s time we do something about it!
